kirkens korshaer

The project I’ve been working on here in Guldagergaard is with kirkens korshaer, and here are a few pieces based on anastasia, whose mum and grandmother both work in the shop. I asked them all to choose their favourite items from the shop and she chose her farmyard animals. Trying to pick 3 was HARD - but this horse was definitely up there… There’s much more work to do before the mini show on Saturday but thought a sneak preview might be good!

Excerpt from diary 2 November

‘Searching for solitude I head to the beach by bike, as much as I am fascinated and inspired by these 15 passionate people I need my time alone. Walking, walking, walking. I find a bone with a sharp fin shaped section and curved translucent main section, not sure if it is from land or sea. The noise of a small plane mixes with the constant lapping of water. A few minutes pass. Horses appear, serene and quiet in their trekking. The gentle splashes of the horses break the pattern of the waves. In the distance the bridge floats as if by magic between the islands. The cold pushes me on…’
